What is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)?

A Registered Dietitian Nutritionist is recognized as a nutrition expert. The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) has rigorous qualifications to become an RDN.

What is a Certified LEAP Therapist (CLT)?

A Certified LEAP Therapist has advanced clinical training in adverse food reactions including food allergies, food sensitivities, and food intolerance. CLTs have a minimum education of a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition. CLTs know how to assist clients with the LEAP nutrition plan based on their MRT® results.

What is a Certified Health and Wellness Coach (CHWC)?

A Certified Health and Wellness Coach has completed an 18-week course from Wellcoaches®.  After completion of the course, health professionals must pass a written and oral exam.  Continuing education is required to recertify every 3 years. The Wellcoaches® program is endorsed by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).

How can Wellness RD, LLC help me?

Wellness RD, LLC is for people who want guidance to a better state of health.  It is also for those who have symptoms of food sensitivities and possible micronutrient deficiencies.

Wellness RD, LLC’s services are most appropriate for people who have decided to be committed to lifestyle change conducive to good health.  While a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist provides you with the tools you need to create a healthy plan, it is your commitment that will make you successful on your journey.

Do you take insurance?

Wellness RD, LLC does not take insurance. Instead, clients receive a “superbill,” where appropriate. A superbill allows you to submit your claim for reimbursement to your insurance provider and collect any potential reimbursement directly from that organization.

Will my insurance cover the services of a Registered Dietitian?

Insurance does not typically cover 100% of the fees and you will be responsible for some, if not all, of the costs. If you have a Health Savings Account (HSA)/ Flex Spending Account, it may be acceptable to use those funds to pay for RDN services.

What is Wellness RD, LLC’s payment policy and how do I schedule services?

Wellness RD, LLC requires ALL payments in advance, at the time of scheduling. Advanced notice of no less than 24 hours from the scheduled time of your appointment is required for all cancellations. Clients who do not cancel an appointment more than 24 hours in advance of the scheduled time will be charged in full for the appointment.
